I'm 32 years old, and I really love the Nancy Drew games. I've been hooked on them from the first time I heard about them. I highly recommend this game to anyone.

This game was MUCH BETTER than the Phantom of Venice. A lot of fun puzzles and figuring out the mystery. I have all the Nancy Drew games and this one is one of the best!

The Haunting of Castle Malloy is another well thought out programmed PC Game! I have never been disappointed with any of the Nancy Drew Series and this one is no exception. Again it educates in a most poignant way about the area or location of the world you are at. I literally had to search the internet to learn how to play and score in darts! And now I know how to play darts. I became quite the "Mixer" when I had to serve at the Irish Pub. Some parts are a wee bit tricky lass, like once you program the jet pack. If you are not in the location the game somehow needs you to be at you will explode and die but come back to life often.lol Also when you are jet packing about I thought I could fly up into the heavens...not so I lost fuel and had to be given another chance. Look I am an adult and I never leave any nancy Drew game without learning something about a part of the world i did not know. As usually I suggest you to purchase this game you will never be bored or disappointed. I did need the walkthrough on certain areas mostly getting to the hut in the bog. I died a lot of times then also but was given a chance at re-birth. Getting the chemicals in the right bins was a real "BLAST" literally. I blew myself up and many and several occasions but after being blown to smithereens I soon caught on just how cautious I must handle those chemicals. Nancy Drew Series Rule for sure! I am awaiting series 20!!! Take the Adventure and head on to Ireland!!!

I enjoy the fact that the Nancy Drew games appeal to all ages and sexes. I even got my older brother interested in them. I Play them with my grandchildren and it has been a real bonding experience, I am 54 years old and my grandchildren are 10 and 7. I also appreciate the fact that they are full of learning tools, not just fun and games. I enjoy the fact that they are based in different places around the world which gives you an incite to other places and people, my grandson even trys to copy the accents of the different characters. This one, based in Ireland is especially special to me because my ancesters came from Ireland. My great, great grandfather came to America on ship. I hope you continue to handle games of this nature and keep the violence, cussing, and sleeziness out of childplay. Children and Adults deserve wholesome and relaxing enjoyment. I am even thinking of trying the Hardy boys and Sherlock Holmes games you have in stock. Thank You. R Pitts

I have to admit, I really didn't care much for the previous two ND games so I was a little hesitated about purchasing this one. And I am glad I did. The puzzles were not boring nor tedious and falling in the lake and getting blown up made me chuckle.

This would have to be my favorite ND game so far. I think I may have to play it again.

Graphics 10

Sound effects 10

Puzzles 10

I even liked the Irish accents.

The puzzles (gears, puppet figures, colored animal box) in this ND game can be done without using cheats. They are challenging, but if you take the time, you can figure them out. Younger children might need a couple of hints.

I did find myself making some mistakes in the bog and drowning a few times, but with perseverance, finally made it to the other side. Again, not easy, but do-able.

There are lots of interesting places to explore on the grounds and the 'jobs' you are given are not tedious.

The characters are complex and you have more control over the questions than in some past games.

However, some of the things that you must figure out (how to work the booster pack and turning the stone tower block) require a fair amount of reading/sleuthing, which is difficult.

A very important point for parents is that, although the game is for ages 10 and up, Nancy is required to work as a drink mixer in a pub early in the game. True, the drinks are mostly fruit and non-alcoholic beers, but since they are being poured into cocktail glasses and mugs, obviously, it's a bar and Nancy is mixing drinks. Kids aren't idiots. Just as in the last game's 'dancing for money' job, herinteractive is definitely in a gray area here. If you're an adult and you like these games, then no big deal.

All in all, it was fun and worth the money. I would recommend this game.

I enjoyed this game very much. I have played all of the Nancy Drew games by Her Interactive. The last few games I played felt rushed and I did not enjoy them as much as previous games. The Haunting of Castle Malloy goes back to the original fun of the earlier games. The story line was great and did not feel rushed. The puzzles were fresh, new, and challenging. These games are great for all ages. I anxiously await the next one.

This game exceeded my expectations. I have been relatively disappointed with the newer Nancy Drew games, and was not too hopeful about this one. It. Is. Excellent.

Plot: You, as Nancy Drew, go to Malloy Castle in Ireland to be the maid of honor in your friend Kyler's wedding. When you get there, you discover that the groom has disappeared! Kyler is convinced that he is pulling a prank. The groom's best friend thinks he just got cold feet. The caretaker, Donal, thinks that "faeries" spirited him away! What really happened to Matt? It is up to you to find out. I give the plot a 10/10

Characters: The characters in this game are all lively and fun. I loved them all. I give the characters a 10/10

Puzzles: All of the puzzles in this game were clever and difficult. None of them were impossible, but some of them my require non-genius types like myself to visit the HERinteractive website for a hint. The puzzles were the perfect level, in my opinion, so I give them a 10/10.

Content: This game is perfectly clean. The only thing to even mention is that Nancy serves drinks at a bar. In actuality, the drinks are all non-alcoholic juice or soda drinks, but since Ireland is a land of prolific beer drinkers, I was a bit unsure about that to start with. It is not explained thoroughly enough, and if you have young children playing the game, you may want to explain to them that "No. Nancy Drew, teenage detective, is not serving that man beer, sweetie."

Overall, this is an excellent game, for all ages. I loved it, and I hope you do too. I give it a 10/10 stars!

Hope my review helped!

It caught my interest right away with the lady in white going across the road. It was a good mystery to solve and yeah it was pretty scary in parts but all in all a very good game and a very good way to spend a couple of hours if you have the time to do it. I recommend it. It keeps you on your toes

This was my first Nancy Drew game. I am not good very good with pc games or video games. I am 63 years old and I was able to complete this game. I did use the game guide severl times but it was great to be able to finish a good game. I found the graphics wonderful. The story was easy to follow.

I just bought "The Haunting of Castle Malloy with the game guide, just in case.

I am a big Nancy Drew Mystery games fan. Some have been okay and others mediocre. This one is one of the best. The story line is interesting and being able to see Nancy is fun. Some of the puzzles were hard and I needed a walkthrough, but that is okay. I was glad not to have to make meals over and over again like on another recent game. That kind of thing really interrupts the flow of the game. This one went along smoothly and the puzzles were integral parts of the game. Looking forward to the next one which is supposed to include Bess and George

For the first time in about two years, I was able to finish one of these games. There are no puzzles in here that require you to attempt them 80 zillion times in the hope that you might luck out once and be able to continue the game. No sneaking past guards (thank GOD!), no spraying for bees, and no fox and geese. Best of all, you don't have to out-fight, out-run, or come up with some counterintuitive scheme for escaping the bad guys that requires randomly clicking on everything in sight hoping you luck out again.

This game flowed nicely and was mostly cerebral. The drum puzzle is annoying, but you can't have everything; not if you like adventure games anyway. You can get arcades without a plot, but you can't get plot games without arcades somewhere.

I've played all but 3 of the Nancy Drew games (Secretes, Old Clock and White Wolf). The Haunting of Castle Malloy is now my new favorite. It was formerly Train to Blue Moon Canyon.

I enjoyed the visuals (eerie night scene of an old Irish castle perched on the ocean next to a garden, a barn and a bog), the new map that allows you to actually walk around the proprety rather than just pointing and clicking on a new destination, the lack of tedious chores or repetitive mazes that is typical of previous games, the more interesting and brief dialog with other characters that doesn't bore you, the multitude of many different puzzles rather than a few large ones, and the general story line.

Normally, I am ready for a game to end, but this one had so many twists and turns that I was actually sad when it ended.

Castle Malloy is a bit like Curse at Blackmoor Manor in tone and manner, but less frustrating because you don't have to go up and down stairs ad nauseum.

"The Haunting of Castle Malloy" is a good entry into the Nancy Drew series of games, but does fall a little short of recent entries. We play these as a family (thirteen to forty-eight) and were all a little disappointed in how quickly the game wrapped up. That being said, this was still a fun and challenging game.

The puzzles were enjoyable and not too hard for most players to figure out with some logic, and trial and error. The interface is well thought out and is fairly intuitive, making navigation easy for even the youngest player. The graphics were very good and helped to set the eerie mood of the Irish Castle

Like most of these games, there are a lot death related themes that might disturb very young players.

Recommended!

A long awaited for brilliant game by Her Interactive. After many unsuccessful games, this Nancy Drew title has finally brought back what was so easy to love about the series when it first started. The plot is undeniably intriguing with ingenious twists. It is filled with mystery that makes sense. The graphics are beautiful like always. The characters are well-developed although there are few. The puzzles make sense and are challenging yet not impossible.

As Nancy Drew, you go the gorgeous countryside of Ireland to attend a family-friend's wedding. Like always, Nancy's vacation quickly turns into another mystery when the groom goes missing. Will the wedding go on as planned or is this marriage doomed from the beginning? Uncover secrets both of past and present for an exciting adventure.
