I really cannot say enough about how awesome Valve is.

They develop some of the best games available.

They also come up with a digital distribution system that is tops.

Left 4 dead is no exception to this rule.

The game is a co-operative survival game.

You play as one of a cast of characters and must fight your way through hordes of zombies.

The game comes with many modes, including some that do not take as long as the main campaign.

This will appeal to those people that cannot spend the hours doing the main story.

To add a little zip to your game they add in these special zombies that require you to play very well as a team.

If you like a first person shooter, love zombies, love valve. This is the game for you.

The only complaint I have is they seemed to have come out with this game so soon after releasing the first.

Left 4 dead 2 has been given a 9.5 from Xbox Magazine and yet it isn't getting as much hype as say, Assassins Creed 2 or Modern Warfare 2. I happen to love this game and the new game modes and graphics are fantastic. I have been waiting forever for it to come out and it's freaking awesome. A Definite must buy!

Undoubtedly the Funnest game from valve[Steve jobs]

Just kidding but ,if u hadn't bought this yet, go grab one if there's a deal around. I got it for 30$ and its worth every penny. I look for replayability when i buy games and this has got a lot going.I am slowly losing interest in playing just everything that's out there and am extremely picky with my games.I have been enjoying BF2 for a long time for the same reason ...The experience is fresh every time u get on a server. The only game that has come near BF2 when it comes to the Fun factor was burnout paradise.L4D has just made into my top 3 list when it comes to Fun and replayability.

Just as the title said. It's a well polished, well thought out version of the first game. Don't get me wrong, I loved the first game immensely, with all its quirky bugs. This one was necessary. And no, it doesn't feel like an "expansion", it feels like a full game. Get it, its a time sucker.

What a kick in the pants! L4D was entertaining, but L4D2 takes it up a big notch. This is not like an L4D add-on package, but a whole new game. As one would expect with the new version, there are some new things. Not just a couple, though, but several: creative scenarios, more zombie types and lots of weapons. New weapons include a baseball bat, fire ax, frying pan, katana and an electric guitar. Sound effects are top notch-- my personal favorite is the various chords struck by swinging the guitar from zombie-head to zombie-head. (Or, in the case of my 'buddy' BureauRat, from zombie-head to my head...) All of this variety makes for a more challenging game-- it's now much more than 'waiting for the Tank.' Team play and cooperation is imperative. Speaking of the 'team', the new characters are a bit grating this time around and not nearly as funny as in L4D. Technically, the developers have done a great job-- L4D2 runs smoothly on my older PC (2.8 Pentium 4, 2 GB RAM, nVidia GeForce 8600 GTS, Windows XP SP3, widescreen). Multiplayer games seem to be found and load more quickly. Highly recommended.

Amazing game..Everything is top notch and a huge improvement over L4D1. Steam is excellent as well. If you want a ton of great game and insane multiplayer fun, ignore the haters here and buy it! :)

One of the best sequels to a near perfect game! expanded, texture improved, and over-the-top GORE! at least on the PC version. a bit longer and more variety, something that Valve improved on the revolutionary L4D. the game is three times more violent than its predecessor. something that was done before with "soldier of fortune" if anyone recalls... i am using GeForce 9800 GTX+ and running on 16x texture filtering and 4x anti-aliasing, considering my GPU is old, it works great! blood and guts fall out as the infected are shot. blowing chunks of flesh to reveal a bloody rib cage! more of everything, including new survivors. STEAM is used, just a warning for those opposing any means of DRM. it can get repetitive to some, and is recommended for those that favor "arcade shooters", also very basic storyline. the "AI Director" is THE BEST FEATURE that happened to Gaming in many years. and again FPS games started the violence, and anything Teen rated and lower is a SHAME. how Call Of Duty got away with a Mature+ rating..... don't have a clue, but in this case ESRB is a joke!

This is another excellent game by Valve using the famous Source engine. I really like zombie movies/games/theme a lot lately and playing this game is like playing through the movie Zombieland. Especially at the Theme park with all the hordes of zombies coming at you just like in the movie Zombieland at the end. I give it my highest praise and recommend it to anyone who likes to play first person shooters. It has a ton of extra multiplayer modes allowing you to play with or against your friends against or as zombies! It has every mode I could think of giving this game. Do yourself a favor and buy this game if you enjoy fps at all.

The game is always different thx to the AI director.

The co-op and the level design is genius.

Infinite playtime!

Buy it today you won't regret it, trust me...

This is a great game, lots of thrills, chills and new gory spills but the L4D limitations and weapons are annoying. So many weapons yet you can only take a pistol or melee weapon and one primary gun, that gets annoying. In Killing Floor you can use a vast selection of guns at the same time and can character build and customize, so after playing KF it's hard to fully accept valves latest offering without some negativity. L4D 2 is an awesome game but the limitations, controls and gun control/revamps seem a little off and the new characters are not as interesting as bill/francis/zoe and louis. The graphics have been improved nicely, the new monsters are lame except for the puker, the difficulty level is similar to the god awful survival mode in L4D 1 which is rather frustrating. The lamer monsters can still pin(lame) you and render you as helpless as a 5 year old girl which is just dumb. The new maps are great for the most part, the game play unlike Killing Floor is linear all the way with some here's and there's to explore but no where near open, which cuts down replay value in the long run. Some of the tasks required is this game are really stupid like fighting a flesh-eating zombie horde for a case of soda or putting 13 cans of fuel into a stupid race car for an escape??? I really enjoy this game for what it is but after playing Killing Floor it just seems like a lot of copied idea's and a rehash of L4D 1 with added gore, annoying tasks, stupid uninteresting characters and some lame new monsters, but again I truly like this game when Im playing it with friends and not playing L4D 1 or Killing Floor. I don't mean to compare but it's hard not to. This game could have been a proper add on for Left 4 Dead 1. I was not sure what to expect but I feel this game to be a slight let down from L4D 1.

Great expantion of left 4 dead. the in game experience is more intense and in your face. new guns are great and new monsters are hard and sneaky. absolutely fun game. one thing I didnt know disk is just a setup disk, you have to download game from steam server which is ok but it is slow took me about three hours to get it so dont be in a hurry . Its worth the wait.

Since i haven't played Left For Dead 1, i can't compare except from what I've heard, which is that it is a great improvement from the first. i enjoyed it though it seemed pretty short, and the bots do piss you off st times. like why can't they pick up pipe bombs or Molotov.....great game with friends and online and by yourself. definitively recommend.

Wonderful sequel to the original. I honestly think this is better hands down. I love the new infected and the new weapons and the maps are just plain amazing. Much harder than the original, but good!
