if you are looking for a game to keep you going yet waste your time, this is it. I love it. I have between 8 and 12 hours where i am stuck in a station 2 times a week with nothing but a couch a computer and a tv. This passes the time very nicely.

Now any Aoe Fanatic could tell the collectors edition of AOE lacks a lot of the original features of the original game. For example In AOE II and the Conquerors expansion the command hotkeys are missing. This keys are a good tool to use in game. They are used by many advanced players all the time and are not in this edition.

This is a great value for all the versions of age of empires. However, it seems that it is out of stock. Great game, and very enjoyable. I play both original age and the conquerors.

This is simply the best strategy game. Beautifully designed and just plain fun to play. Also the historical overtones are a plus. This is all before you learn to create your own scenarios in the Map Editor thats included.

Age of empires collectors edition is the best game I have ever played! It' so realistic not like other games which has no realisim. Even though The price is $60.00 buying in a collectors editio buying all the games individualy will cost you over $160.00 BIG ONES so save more than twice as much money. And the game makes you think alot about decision you make because for every decision comes with a consequence so your brain builds strong thinking skill. I'd buy it if I were you. You will love this game!

First AOE has got the same strategy as AOE 2, but the problem is that 1. it is really hard to distinguish units, and 2 the game-play is insanely slow. In AOE Gold, it is more of a Ancient war game, up until the start of the medieval times. AOE 2 Gold you are playing from the Roman Era 'til the start of the gunpowder age. AOE 2 Gold is the best to go with, and the action speed is considerably faster. plus, the building interface is a lot less in-comprehensive compared to AOE 1. For the most part, multi-player is fun, and its really fun to watch after using the marco polo cheat to watch what I like to call "channel 3 news" where you see the computers completely going at each other, with your base off in the distance. its a fun way to place bets, cause who knows who is going to win.

Finally, there are several campaigns: trust me, it ain't worth it.

I bought this as opposed to everything separately because it was cheaper and AOE 1 is still a classic everyone respects.

This has all of the Age of Empires games, plus a soundtrack. I believe they produced only 75,000 of them. When I was lucky enough, it had a sticker that said 38475 of 75000. So I believed they made only 75000 of them.

And it also teaches how it was like to build a village during the Romen times, and the challenges that comes along with building a village, such as:shortage of food, wood, and stone, and also worry about intruders that try to destroy your village. This collectors edition has all of the Age of Empire games ever made. Even teh old one is good. You will never get tired of it. You can play it on what I think is teh best onlne gaming site in the world, The Zone. There are lots of different civilizations Plus about 50 different types of units. The only bad thing is that the cut scenes are just the game with voices and characters that you controlled a second ago. Like the the music? It come with a 17 track CD of it. This game is definitly worth your money.
