We bought this for our 7 year old daughter who LOVES dogs. I thought there would be a lot more to the game, but it gets boring pretty quickly. If you like Web Kinz, Web Kinz is sooo much better with so many more options for pleasing your pet. The virtual graphics are fun in this game, however, and it is fun to "adopt" as many puppies as you want. Also, we could not find any instructions on the the CD at all. It's all trial and error while you are trying to figure out what you are supposed to do.
There are not really 101 puppies to chose from. You can only get jack russels, rottweilers, golden retrievers, staffordshire terriers, beagles, dalmations, dobermans, siberian huskies and labs. In beauty competitions you only see your dog walk in a line. You can wash your dog, take it to the park, feed it, and take it to the vet. It says you can chose all the dogs but you can only chose one per profile. This game I think shoud be for four-six year olds.
