The Beatles Rock Band is the best of breed, in my opinion, of all of the Rock Band game, and we have them all for the Wii platform. Many unique adaptations for the beatles including background scenes which reflect each iconic period of the band from the Ed Sullivan appearances to the impromptu concert on top of the Apple building in London. The instruments include a Hofner bass in the style of the one Paul McCartney played and an improved drum kit. The one knock I might have is that a few of my favorite songs were not included but I'm guessing that these will be sold as an add on somewhere down the road.
My son managed to get enough money for his birthday to get this package. It is an inordinate price but for that price a large group of people are entertained for hours on end.
The package includes the guitar, drums and mike to allow three people to play. If you already have an existing guitar you are in a position to add a fourth player and the games begin.
The game itself is pretty good, standard rock band fare with the great improvement of the music of the Beatles. For a 40th something like me this means the teen will be playing music that I won't get sick of.
The background graphics and the various goals and additions are well done making the game pretty solid.
The big differences are of course the special guitar. It is very nice looking and the Beatles front for the Drums is pretty cool too. The mike turns it into a home karaoke system (my wife doesn't approve) Its for the buyer to decide if the chrome is worth the bucks but it certainly passes the way cool test, but for the price it really ought to.
If you want to keep track of your kids and their friends this package is guaranteed to make your house the stop of choice for teenagers and 20 somethings for a very long time.
You will pay a high preimum for this item, but it will certainly get plenty of use to justify it.
I questioned whether or not to spend so much money on a game. Ha! The Beatles Rock Band was a bargain given the amount of pleasure it has provided my family. I only wish I'd bought it earlier!
My kids and their friends really enjoy themselves playing the music and it is fun for parents, too. Even when I'm not playing the game, I love hearing the music!
The best thing of all is that my teenage daughter, who previously did not seem very interested in much of anything, now wants drum lessons. Thanks, Rock Band and Ringo!
