I bought this for my 5 year old. It has some challenging logic sequences and requires learned skill controlling the character forms with the wii-mote. If we let him, he would play this game for hours at a time. At about 2 hrs/day he has been playing this game for weeks. There are so many levels! Additionally, my 13yr old and 11yr old also love playing the game. Even my wife has played some. I definitely recommend this game.

I played through this game with my 3 y/o son and we had a great time. I was VERY impressed with how they handled multi-player (more on that in a minute).
Spongebob Truth or Square is based on a story where Spongebob forgot where he put the Krabby Patty sauce recipe. In order to remember, he needs to get happy. So, his friends help him by remembering happy times (basically, levels based on Spongebob TV episodes. The Hash-Slinging Slasher!!!!).
This is basically a 3D platformer. You go through each level and have to beat up the robot enemies, jump across the gaps, etc... Moving Spongebob is via the nunchuck. A button jumps, B button shoots a water bomb from Spongebob's nose, swinging the remote left/right does a spin attack, and moving the nunchuck up down (in a hammer motion) does a spatula-slam attack. You can also move the camera around via the up/down/left/right on top of the remote, and Z will put the camera behind Spongebob. (It's all easier and more intuitive than it sounds).
There are several boss fights that can be tough for the youngest players.
Now, the multi-player. You can do the game with just Spongebob no problem. However, someone with a second remote (no nunchuck) can hit + and join in as Plankton. Plankton will hover above Spongebob's shoulder and can zap and stun enemies with his ray gun thing. As I said, you don't NEED Plankton, but it does make things easier. The great thing about this mechanic is that I (the adult) can play as Spongebob and do all the more difficult aspects of the game (like jumping across gaps on the jellyfish, fighting six robots at once, etc), while my young son can just zap the bad guys with Plankton. I don't have to worry about him walking off a ledge or whatever. It's very clever. Also, Plankton and Spongebob say some pretty funny things.
One other note: The Plankton remote DOES support the Motion Plus accessory for easier targeting, but it is not required.
I definitely recommend this game.
