There is only one word that suits this game, awesome. The controls may be a little awkward at first but soon they feel natural. The graphics are very good but there is a lot of loading time. The monsters as well as the characters themselves are very beautiful and are just plain fun to kill. There are many missions that feel like a waste of time, but they are nullified by the missions that are super fun.

I'm a Diablo, Diablo II, and hopefully a Diablo III addict.
These games just suck huge blocks of time from my life.
With that said, this game is turning out to fall into that same category.
The game starts out slow with a massive learning curve. Most peeps would recommend you play offline in the single player mode, to get your feet wet.
During this phase, I was a bit unsure if it was money wasted or not. So if you're there, and thinking of giving up, don't! Go online and join a few other players and hunt down a giant beast. Once you do, you'll be instantly addicted like me. The quest that hooked me was The Fisherman's Tale - which involved a giant monster, the Royal Ludroth. Anyway, do that, and you'll see what you're getting into. You'll want to start grinding through the game so you can get better stuff, and become a better hunter - so that some time in the future, you'll have a shot at hunting one of those beasts.
Online mode is free to play, no subscription needed.
Game on!

I have to say, i read the features of this game before it came out and there were a lot of things that they took out of the previous versions for the PSP like the Dual Swords, my weapon of choice, or the Gunlance. that kinda threw me off at first. But the new features of all weapons and the gameplay, plus all the new things incorporated to the game make this experience, one like no other, not only for the graphics since of course would be the best of the series, but for the gameplay altogether.
For any MH fan, this game will be nothing short of a Classic. Looking forward to getting new armor and weapons, and hunting with friends!!! :)
