"My 8 year old loves this game. He wants the lego star wars now."
I got this for my 5-year-old for his birthday...He loves the Legos Star Wars for Wii, and now he's loving this one too.
The kids (ages 7 and 5) got this as a Christmas gift- it was supposed to be for them. I have found myself playing as often as they do, maybe even more! The story follows the first 3 Indiana Jones movies, incorporates the many characters, is easy enough for kids to play, but challenging enough that they often need an adult to help them. The age on the box is 10+ and I can see why. My two boys absolutely love the game- they get into hysterics over the funny things and argue over what to do during the challenging situations. However, with needing a remote and a nunchuck, the coordination required can be difficult for younger children. Also, the puzzles are sometimes hard for ME to figure out and very difficult for the young.
Two thumbs up for story, creativity, and fun. My only negative is that it can freeze in places where there's a lot of animation going on while playing the game. It's happened twice to us and we had to reset the game one of those times.
Lots of fun for the whole family.
The Lego games are all really cute, but it lacks something. You can get stuck in a level after all the bad guys are dead, and there are no "hints" or directions to what you have to do to exit the level, and of course if you don't figure it out,and stop the game ,you must repeat the level and cannot continue until you DO figure out the last requirement in that level. Both my son and husband gave up,and haven't played it again.I noticed this is the problem in the other Lego series games as well.
