"This game is terrible. I am taking mine in to be traded. It is totally awful."
"If you like boggle this game is entertaining. The other games are difficult to navigate, and boring."
There are not enough games for the Wii that are able to bring the whole family together at once to play. This is one of them! Great classic games and new versions of old classics. My family ranges from 12-37 and we love it.
I received this game as a gift and it includes: Connect Four, Battleship, Yahtzee, Boggle, Sorry! and Sorry! Sliders.
The games are played in the same manner as the boardgames, but in an animated environment with Mr. Potato Head as your host. It also comes with in-game specific twists and variations.
I am rating the game 4 stars, as the only games that I enjoy playing are Connect Four and Battleship. Sorry! is ok, but having additional players makes it better.
With Battleship, the sound effects and explosions are what make this game standout from the others on this disc. You can even increase the difficulty of the game by adding in decoys, different weapons (Missles, Heavy Bombs, Lucky Hit - sinks ship if hit).
With Connect Four, you have the original style, but can also play with special chips, that can do all kinds of things: Chips that knock the bottom one out, blow-up other chips, chips that keep others from placing their chip on top, etc...
The other games are not my favorites, in real life or in this version. I would not be doing this game any favors by writing a review on those.
You can win various items that are specific to each of the included games, and they are then displayed in your own room. I have looked at this area, but was not impressed enough that I would want it in a future version.
The game gets the 4 stars, because the two or three games that I play often are so much fun and keep me playing for hours, with or without additional players. The other games and extras would work for other people, but to me are wasted.
This a great game! My husband and I own some of the board games for the ones included, but enjoy this much more! Boggle is more challenging than the regular board game because it doesn't allow you to get the same words as others. You can either point your Wii remote at the sensor bar to select letters, or point it away from the sensor bar and use the arrows in combination with the A button to select letters. We prefer to use the arrows, makes it much quicker! There are also different version of the same game to play, which makes it interesting and speeds up some of the games. For Boggle it has a word hunt version or one in which when you get a word it switches the first and last letter, which allows for even more words to be found! Yahtzee also has some fun versions, such as block out. You try and get points for things before your opponent and can even steal away if you score higher for a particular one than your opponent. The party version is fun too since it allows you to play short versions of the games you select. We love this game and play it all the time. Also, the more you play and the more you do you win things to decorate your 'room' with. Such as trophies, chairs, rugs, artwork, slippers, coat rack, posters, etc. We always enjoy seeing what we have won after accomplishing certain things, such as long word for Boggle, playing Boggle for over an hour at one time, or shaking the yahtzee dice for over 10 seconds. Just adds a bit of fun. If you don't like Mr. Potatohead, you can alway remove him. He does get a bit annoying sometimes. Again, we love this game and recommend it to everyone we know that loves to play board games.
