I bought this game and both I and my kids love it. We loved how you could play the mini-games to advance throug the game and open up more and more races (there are about 50!), but we also liked how you could just drive through radiator springs and the surrounding areas collecting points that allow you to buy more cars or different paint jobs. I've read some of the 1- & 2-star reviews and honestly I can't understand their opinions. It's easy to play yet challenging enough that you won't master everything in a day, allows of hours of fun, the game is repeatable (my son played some of the races over and over - and so did I), and it's perfect for players of all ages. We also had this game for the PC and if you can drive the car in a straight line with a mouse and keyboard, seems to me that it would EASIER with a steering wheel. I know, call me crazy... We loved this game.
I have two children (both boys) aged 6 and 3 years old. My 6 years old kid loved this game.
Overall the game is pretty simple. Tasks and races can be completed unaided by a small kid, and of course it features a nice variety of characters, places and minigames appealing especially to small kids who enjoyed the movie.
If you have a 5-8 years old kid who loved the movie...you can buy it, and you will certainly enjoy it with your son / daughter. But if your kid is 10-12 or even worst a teenager, perhaps he / she will need a more complex and difficult game to find entertainment. And if you are an adult, just skip it. This game is not for you.
Another important note: This game is pretty much the same than the GameCube version, except for the Wii Controller.
This is a very nice game for the Kids who love the Cars move and their characters.My 4 year old son loves the Cars movie and we had to buy lot of toys with the Disney Cars and its characters(even his bed,Chair, Night dress:)). after buying this car, he loved it so much and he came to me and told , Dad this is nice surprise and nice Gift. I love you. This is enough for me. Money well spent. Even I love this game and play with him.
Technical aspects:Considering the low quality graphics on WII (comparing to PS3), this game does a good Job. It has nice graphics.Games and races are good with some fun.Also has mini games. Even the Car says "Catchow" which we all love this . Go for it. You will love it too.
