Overall a very entertaining game. I doubt you would enjoy it much playing by yourself, but for groups it is a blast. It is great because the controls and interface are surprisingly similar to the original, making it easy to pick-up for anyone who grew up in the 90s. It is a good game for skill playing, but also a lot of fun for novices to button-mash. My girlfriend surprisingly enjoys playing it, though only for short intervals. I definitely recommend this game for any non-gamer social situation!
I'm have always been a big fan of Mortal Kombat, and just recently became a DC Comics fan, so I had to have this video game. I love it! Graphics are good and the characters are awesome. The fatalities could be better though.
I was apprehensive when I first heard that MK8 would be a crossover game, but after playing it, I changed my mind. It's lots of fun alternating between the MK universe and playing in Gotham City, Metropolis, and other places. It's fun collecting trophies for your accomplishments. Story Mode is very fun as well, and I can't wait for the downloadable content. My only complaint is that I wish they could have included more than just 11 characters from each franchise.
