This game is nuts!! Anyone who has a remote interest in platformers or even shooters should get this game, or at least try the demo. IMO this game is even better than uncharted and as good as ratchet and clank

inFamous is by far the best game of the years so far. The people who complain about the graphics are the people who are waaay to picky about stuff. The graphics were awesome. The gameplay is great and anyone who thought the missions got repetitive probaly never used more than one of your numerous powers. As you play through the story you unlock many powers such as gliding to calling lighting from the sky. when you unlock these powers your whole fighting style changes and when you upgrade these things get even more intricate.
The story is phenomanal and is even better in the fact that it gives you choices that effect the later story. These choices are one of the best parts of the game because its fun to be able to let that character that always annoyed you die or to save the civilian whose getting rocks thrown at him. These choices also greatly effect the city itself and the way the story goes if you spend your whole time in the game killing people someone may hate you and if you spend your time saving people you may have a better relationship with that person. The city could turn out to be a bright cheery place with a sunny sky and happy people or it could turn into a desolate wasteland with people crying in the streets, this all depends on the choices you make.
The story itself is great without the choices it has plenty of twists and turns and a jawdropping ending. This is a definate choice for any PS3 owner, so if you want a good game with a great story pick it up.
P.S.
Its a PS3 exclusive which is really nice to be able to shove it in the face of you friend who owns a 360.

I already managed to get 100% of all three districts completed. I must say that really enjoyed the game. The missions, powers, and the ability to scale anything, make this the most enjoyable sandbox style game I've ever played.
I think InFamous succeeds where others (Spiderman & Assassins Creed) have failed, because of the number and variety of the missions. The missions range from the quick and simple, to the more elaborate and complicated. They can at times be difficult, but the generous check points, ensure that they never feel like a chore to complete.
Even the optional side missions add to the over all game. Collecting dead drops help to flesh out the back story via audio logs (similar to BioShock). Collecting shards helps to increase the amount of electricity Cole can store in his body. They are optional, but they are very worth while.
The only fault I can manage to name would be that there are some slight graphical hiccups along the way, but it's never really anything major that detracts from the overall experience.
Over all, I would give Infamous a 9.5 out of 10.
