I didn't know what to expect when I got this game because it got a bad review in Game Informer.Now I know the reviews on this game are very wrong,this game rocks.You get to choose between an alien,predator,or a marine.The game feels pretty reallistic with it's dark environements.The sounds in the game sound like your in one of the movies. Enemies move around running up walls and sneaking behind you to move in for the kill, when you hear you life sensor starts beeping your heart starts pounding with excitement wondering where will it pop out from or wondering where that hissing noise is comming from. All in All it is a fun game to play and if you like the movies and games of this franchise than you should buy it, you won't be dissapointed, don't listen to the tabloids, they are wrong.

1st: I am an avid fan of the film franchise. I love both these xenomorph motha's. They're the greatest in their own respective rights.
2nd: I have severe migraine problems... so I really cant enjoy 1st person shooters.
Now Business!!! I could never enjoy the tom clancy stuff or the call of duty games. I've lost out on so many great games. Than Dead Space dropped and i realized that i was getting the migraines from the brightness of the stages. I was mildly saved. I played the games with sun glasses and was ok... Dead Space being an exception (the scenes in the game were dark and managable). Needless to say, I waited for this game with saliva in my mouth foaming. I preordered. I ran around in the demo. I loved every moment. of my anticipation.
I picked it up this morning and HAVE NOT BEEN LET DOWN!!!! I love the fear of it all! running around in the dark... as a marine looking down at my motion tracker and $ hitting my pants at the sound of something moving... somewhere. I play the game in the dark as i've heard it the best way to play this game anyway (i cant imagine how counter-productive it must be to play with the lights on). Well, my six year old daughter ran away because in her words: "DADDY, THAT GAME IS SCARY!" Its fun and I give five stars to Sega for dropping a game dark enough for us Vampires lol.
Its too early to give a total reveiw of the three campaigns in my case... but so far so good. the game is fantastic and is money well spent. Honestly, I believe I will enjoy this game for weeks to come... and thats coming from a person who has to wear sun glasses in the house at night :)

If you liked the first AVP that came out back in the day then your in for a treat. I picked up this game not knowing what to expect. I just finished the marine campaign, which has a dead space feel, and then the Alien campaign which was loads of fun. Where this game really shines is in the Predator campaign, which so far is fantastic. Stealth, lots of cool weapons and a completly redesigned control system from the first give the Predator campaign an awesome feel.
Great game, awesome fun. Don't believe the negative fuss in IGN and Gamespot who for the most part wouldn't know a good game if it hit them in the face.
