I play a lot of casual games. I particularly enjoy puzzle games. I buy them and blow through them like popcorn.
Since I purchased Square Logic via Steam 45 days ago, my casual game budget has plummeted. I'm too busy feeding all my spare time into this game to even be tempted by any other puzzle game.
I like Sudoku. I like KenKen. I like the pic cross games. I love Square Logic. Each of the modes is pleasurable, from the simplest, with a single board and every square in the board included in one of the clue sets, up to the hidden cage mode and the endless series of greater then & less then connectors between squares. My favorite is the two board combos, where hints on one board inform the other.
I've probably played close to 500 puzzles, and there are thousands left to go. Even after skipping all the 4x4 and 5x5 boards (too easy once you learn how to play), I anticipate playing this game for months to years.
If you are a puzzle person, enjoy entertaining yourself on the computer, and are comfortable with simple math, you owe it to yourself to buy this game.
I even shared it with my friend's 8 year old. He didn't play it the way I play it (he guessed and used hints rather than trying to solve them w/o hints), but he enjoyed it as well.
Again, if you like puzzles and are comfortable with computers and simple math, you own it to yourself to try this game. btw, you can get a downloadable free trial for an hour, so if you're not sure you'll enjoy it, give it a try.
