Ear Force X11 Amplified Stereo Headset with chat (Mac) Reviews
So I just got these turtle beach Ear Force X11 headset on 5/25/10, I They were Shipped on the 24th of that month! I ordered standard shipping (3-5 days) and I spent a day using them so I can make a good review. I first like to say that I instantly fell in love with these when I set it up and put them on. It was very simple to install.
I bought these for Call of Duty MultiPlayer. i herd so many good comments about these I had to have them for myself. I hooked turned on my xbox 360 and started up modern warfare 2. It sounded very clean perfectly balanced. the amplifier is a Plus. I set the Game volume to what I thought was good and then joined a search and destroy game. I could hear the slightest movements from people i did great that game 14-2 although im a average player.
I got this for mainly 2 reasons, Music and Gaming. After I played some Xbox i wanted to see how good these sounded on my Ipod. I put on my favorite song and I was amazed how good it was. I could lay in bed all day and listen to music. I definitely think it was worth the prize.
I have read many reviews and saying they hear this "hiss" sound on their headsets. This is true but its so feint that you can only hear it if everything is quiet in your room and its totally silent. I could not hear it in games what-so-ever! not even in waiting lobby or main menu.
In the end I think you should order these from Amazon because these are the cheapest price out there! because they have free shipping. If you look at others the shipping is $8+ I highly Recommend who ever is reading this who does not have one to buy it.

--Cons--
*[minor]USB,Mic,Audio Jack cable not long as desired :(
After going through maybe 5 Xbox wired headsets and 1 wireless headset, I decided to look for something that would last longer and work better. I was blown away by this mic, for only $15 more dollars than the wireless headset I previously owned, this was a huge step forward. The reviews that say that the hissing is annoying is true, there is hissing, but ince audio starts coming through the mic, you will not notice it. And for those who are turned off by the wired characteristic of it, it has like a 20 foot wire, which is pretty much wireless unless you like going for a mile jog around the park a block away while playing your game (sounds pretty intense to me...) I plugged it in, went to the best soundtrack game I could find and the Battlefield 1943 theme song came through with clarity I hadn't ever heard out of my TV before. Explosions will scare the [...] out of you and gunshots will have the bass that you would expect from a real one. Overall, 5/5 from me, though these are my first turtle beaches, but I have used other friends' X4's and this compares if not competes with those. Big Fleck, out.
Good headset. solid sound, good mic and controls. Being able to control the chat volume and the game volume seperately is epic. There is a slight buzz but can only be heard while doing absolutely nothing else, so not even an issue. The RCA jack connection threw me a little bit. Having to already have the old school RCA connector, even if you have a HDMI. Luckily, I already did, since I have my reciever connected for movies and stuff. So as long as you don't mind having to have one headphone plug sitting on the side of your xbox then you should LOVE these. Also, Mic does not detect breathing, which is awesome for us heavy breathers. Would recommend for sure.
