Civilization 4: Beyond The Sword (Mac)
Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Beyond the Sword is the second expansion pack for Civilization IV. The expansion focuses on the late-game time periods after the invention of gunpowder and includes 12 different scenarios, ten new civilizations, 16 new leaders, five new wonders, and a variety of new units that offer more ways for players to expand their civilization’s power as they strive for world domination.

This is not just an upgrade with an addition of more leaders and units. This version of the game has all of these things ... yes. But the subtleties of gameplay have also changed. I've had to revise my strategies. This is almost like buying a whole new game.
The new art and additions are awesome. Then new scenarios are also great. Love the space exploration and the zombies.
One thing though, the new narrator just doesn't cut it. Sorry Sid. I think it is mainly that the new narrations are juxtaposed with the original Leonard Nimoy voice-overs. There aren't many who can stand up to that comparison.
I give this two thumbs up.

I just looooove Civ IV. It's by far the best of the series, and this expansion makes it even better. There's not one day I play it that I don't tell myself, "just... one... more...turn." It just keeps on being great. Amazing replayability... amazing value. I must have played more than 200 hours of Civ IV, probably including more than 40 hours of Beyond The Sword. A+!!

Corporations definitely improves a neglected area of the game... a solid expansion, and if you like creative spinoff scenarios, it has that too...
