I bought this for my niece a few months ago. She loves it, especially because there's no reading involved. She gets frustrated with the other games because they all seem to require some level of reading, but not this one! I'd recommend it for anyone looking for a sweet game for the pre-reader.
My daughter got this game for her 6th birthday and she loves it. It's very easy for her to play.
It can be difficult to find games for any game system that cater to the pre-reading or early reading crowd, and that's one reason Dora is great. My 4-year old enjoys this game very much.
I ordered this game for a 4 year old little girl and she LOVED it! It contains many mini games as well as story mode. The mini games vary in difficulty and some are easy for her age and some are a bit tough. It's a very nice game for small kids who love Dora!
I bought this game for my 3 year old daughter after reading all of the positive reviews on it. We tried to let her play other games, but some were just too hard for her to play. The games on here are easy and she has a lot of fun playing them. The games all have the same rotating themes so if your kid is over the age of 5 they may get bored with it quickly. I am going to buy her another Dora game for the DS because we like this one so much. =)
I bought this game for my three year old grand-daughter and she played it for the first and then dhe jus pit it down. It is too easy for and it has too uch talking which slows it down since you have to wait until she finish speak to play the game. But it is an okay game.
We got this game for our three year old girl and she just loves it. She is now four and it is still one of her favorite games.
I purchased this game for my six year old. She received a DS for her six year birthday and I figured I wanted to buy her an easy game to start with. This game is extremely easy and she loves it. My three year old son even loves it and he has already learned how to play the games. It has been a week and they both still enjoy this game. The only reason I gave this a four is because I wish it had more games. I guess really that is my only request but my kids don't care and haven't complained that they are bored. I would say the game is more for three to six year olds and it seems too easy for my six year old...although she still likes playing it. A great game for new DS players and now she loves the system and wants more games! I'm happy with this purchase.
My two year old son is obsessed with his sisters DS and constantly insisted "pay DS..pay DS". I purchased the Dora game for him and it is PERFECT for a young child. With just a little help from me or sister, he has had a great time tapping and moving Dora with the controls. The simplicity of the game makes it a great choice for a younger child. I would love to find another similar game for him.
A great game for the littlest gamers. Easy concepts to master and fun interactions, such as talking into the microphone to stop Swiper. I bought this game for my 2-1/2 year old.
Our daughter just turned 4 and really likes this game. From a parental prespective, it is pretty short and I would never buy for someone over the age of 4. It's too easy and short for the older kids.
I bought this for my daughters 6th b-day. I think she played it the day she opened it and hasn't played it since. She tells me that it is toooo easy and it was over too quickly. very disappointing.
My daughter loved this game, but completed it with no help from me in less than an hour. This was her first DS game ever and she just turned 3. Some unlocks/challenges would be nice to make the game last longer.
I bought this for my 4 year old daughter and it's way to easy for a 4 year old. She's 4 years and 2 months old. Game was over and done with in 30 minutes. It is a noisy game and even though there is a volume control on the DS Lite, her screaming into the mic was loud. It was fun at first, then the novelty wore off. Still a good buy for any Dora lover.
My 5-year old daughter really likes this title, but she beat it in about 20 minutes. That's not to say it doesn't have replay value, because she's played it several times since then, but it's a very small, very limited game - 20 minutes from start to finish?
We'll see how much she still wants to play it over the long term, but I gave it 5 stars for fun and only 3 for value, since it's a full-priced title at almost $30 and it seems like there should be more to it than there is.
Keep in mind also that this is not a "play quietly" game. The kids are required to speak into the microphone to make things happen in the game (which is pretty cool actually). They love it. People around you may not. :)
