My 10 year old daughter and I love this game, we are actually always fighting for it. It is fun and challenging.
I am over 50 and have a hard time with puzzle games requiring quick visual recognition of tiny shapes. The colors make this game easier for me to play on the DS, even while in a moving vehicle. This is the first DS game that I've been able to play comfortably in the passenger seat of a car. 7 Wonders is very addictive and my favorite puzzle game. In the evening I will play an easy level to just "unwind" from a bad day at the office. I have completed all levels 3 times and found a couple of them tough but was only frustrated once. I highly recommend this game! However, as my adult daughter said "This is a HUGE time waster."
Bought this for the wife. She loves it. Parts of the game are like Bejeweled which is a favorite of hers. She especially likes the part where the workers go on strike when she takes too much time being "the decider." This is a very good piece of software and it is highly recommended.
I received this game as a gift and ended up buying two more copies for people I loaned my copy to who loved it. It is perfect for when you have some time to waste (at the doctors office etc). It doesnt seem to get boring as some other games can. As far as blockbusting games go, this is by far the best.
I play this game for hours and hours! I just love it. Great sound effects and graphics and it's challenging!
This game is fun and addicting. If you like tetris you will like this game.
This little game is very addicting and a lot of fun to play.
The funny thing about this game is that you find it hard to put down. When it is time to call it a day, you find yourself saying, "one more board, one more board, and then I'll quit." ... and then you don't because you want to see the "Wonder" you are building completed.
It does get quite difficult as the levels progress and I wish that you could get more lives to work with or else win more lives more easily, but all in all, it's a terrific game.
I highly recommend this game because it is enjoyable for all ages and a good game to have in your gaming collection.
This is the kind of game you can play for hours or simply pick up for a few min while waiting for an appointment or riding the train. The gameplay is simple and intuitive, I love the little bits of history and have not been able to put this one down for long.
Very addicting. Reminds me of Tetris when it first came out.
Seems like a short game but it is not. It is a game that also in the same mold as Bejeweled. You will spend hours and hours of fun playing with it. You start your travel through the puzzles with the Pyramids of Egypt, the only surviving original 7 wonders of the world. The puzzles get more difficult with each one you solve. Try to get 5 and 4 in a rows either horizontal or vertical. This will give you a golden piece that will eliminate a whole row the next time you use that piece. 5 in a row will give you a piece that will eliminate the whole column and the whole row you move that piece to.
Google what are the 7 original Wonders of the World for an interesting trivia.
I gave it 5 stars because the cute graphic, the sound is clear with nice music. The game is fun: match 4, you'll have a bonus (the Jewelquest doesn't have this). I play it everyday.
I prefer "Puzzle Games" for the Nintendo DS and 7 Wonders of The Ancient World is Ideal! I find the game to be challenging, addictive and fun. Of course it helped that the price was right. I reccomend this game to all puzzle game fans.
This is such a fun game to play, once you start it is hard to put down. The music is entertaining and the different levels you can get to make this game so much fun. I highly recommend this game to any tile/puzzle lover!
I CAN'T FINISH THE GAME FAST ENOUGH,IT KEEP ME GOING FOR MORE. SINCE I LIKE BEJEWELED. IT LIKE BEJEWELED AND A PUZZLE PUT TOGETHER. IT'S A FUN GAME TO KEEP GOING AND GOING.
I bought this one on a whim because I do like Jewel Quest, but really, it's probably going to be traded for another game. It compares very poorly to Jewel Quest and I honestly don't see myself playing it.
My chief complaints are:
1) The different jewels are very hard to tell apart. Some of them are so slightly different that you have to squint at the screen and even guess at times. Mostly the pinks and oranges - the blues are distinguishable enough.
2) The sound. I had to turn the sound almost completely off and it was still irritating. When the jewels disappear and the remaining ones 'clack' down the speakers produce a sound like static that grates on my nerves. This, alone, would be enough to make me stop playing.
Otherwise, I do admit it plays smoothly and has some nice special features (like the fireball-thing) - there's nothing wrong with the idea of the game, but it also doesn't have anything that worthwhile to outweighs those two very, very, very large negatives.
Can't put it down!!! That is, until the battery runs down on my DS Lite. Has all the excitement of Bejeweled 2 - with the bombs that blow up things - plus each screen presents new challenges.
